Raymond S. Kellis’ continued their tradition of a Homecoming Carnival, for nine years this spirited carnival has been open for the Kellis Community.

Armando “Junior” Hernandez, a senior at Kellis, was a part of this year’s carnival Committee. This year’s carnival took around a month to prepare. Junior stated, “that the carnival took a lot of work and dedication, he is also very grateful for his awesome Carnival Committee for being able to get it all done with the least amount of possible stress.”

Junior believes that the carnival should have added a dunk tank. As stated, “They are so much fun, and imagine if Wooten was in it!” Although, there were many activities at the carnival, Junior’s favorite part was the food. Junior stated, “Shane’s, Sonoran hot dogs, and Kona’s Ice was my favorite part.”

Some of the activities that were included in the carnival were: Bean Bag Toss, Soda Bottle Ring Toss, Cake Walk, Face Painting, and a Bouncy House Race.

Mr. Wooten commented on the idea saying, “I am more than willing to be in the dunk tank, but, I am not a big fan of dunk tanks but, I would do it for the school and it would be a good cause as well, or I would consider doing something else, like throw sponges at the principle and stuff like that.”
